VTB CEO sees growth of Russian banks’ corporate loans in 2016
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s second biggest bank VTB and the country’s banking sector in general may have positive growth dynamics of their corporate loan portfolio in 2016, VTB CEO Andrei Kostin told reporters Thursday.
“We generally think that we will be able to keep positive dynamics of crediting, though it will be not as ambitious as we would like it to be. I think that VTB and the whole banking sector may have positive dynamics of at least corporate loan portfolio in 2016,” he said.
Previously, Central Bank Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina said that the amount of loans granted by Russian banks to companies went up 9.5% in January–November 2015, or by 3.3% excluding currency revaluation.
